Collaborative Creations supports #WeMakeEvents

Updated: Nov 27, 2020

Last weekend, the Collaborative Creations headquarters at Waterloo East transformed into a hub for the #WeMakeEvents Survival in the Square campaign as it concluded its week-long series of creative activations.

The events highlighted the plight of the creative and events industries, which have suffered considerably due to the CoViD-19 pandemic and lack of subsequent government support.

Our office stored a number of lights donated by companies in the creative industries which were later used to light event professionals as they took to Parliament Square for 'The Bow'.

Thanks to Neg Earth Lights, White Light, TSL Lighting, Light Fantastic, Liteup and Dore to Door for their support.

Survival in the Square is part of an ongoing global effort by the #WeMakeEvents campaign to push for the industry to be recognised and supported by national and regional governments as the CoViD-19 pandemic continues to devastate the industry.

The aim was to showcase the breadth of live events and the technical supply chain that support them, and that live events need government policies in place to help people to return to work and further financial aid until that time.

Our friends at AMMP Media captured the visual impact of the evening's event:
